Would the computer cause me grief?

Hey guys, I just bought a Fastburn 385 engine (430hp) from Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center and I wanted to install that and a B&M TH400 tranny in my 92 Camaro RS. I wanted to go with Ram-Air fuel injection to feed my motor. I was wondering if I'm going to have any problems with the computer? If so, what kind of problems will I have and how can I fix them? I've heard before that I might have problems with with the torque converter, is that true, and if so how should I configure my motor/tranny/computer so that I don't have any problems?

Thanks

You're going to need custom programming for your ECM PROM. You'll have to recalibrate the MAP or skew the tables for the higher absolute pressure from the ram air. Your injector rates are going to have to change for the larger engine. You'll have to remove any OD or TCC programming and enable EVAP purge and EGR by other means. I'm sure there is a lot I've left out, but that should at least convince you of the absolute necessity of a custom PROM.

Visit the DIY PROM Board with a similar question and watch the responses pile up.
