New 1991 Trans Am Questions...

I recently purchased a new 1991 Pontiac trans Am with the 350 L98 engine. Car is immaculate in and out and only has 65,000 original miles. My question is I used to have a 89 formula 350 that I think was much faster than this one. This new TA has NO problems (i.e. Starts on first crank, gets great gas mileage, no hesitation on acceleration, etc.) it just doesn't seem to have the get up and go that the 89 had from a stop. Don't get me wrong, this 91 is quick but just doesn't seem to be as crisp of the start..

Any place to look or was that model year not as fast as an 89 formula ?

your rearend gearing will make a car feel differently, maybe you had different gears in your formula.
