'87 Camaro with 87 'Bird 305?

'87 Camaro with 87 'Bird 305?
Well, I've got a 1987 Camaro IROC (2.8l 6Cyl) And I'm looking to switch over to an 8... I've got an available 305 from an 87 Firebird... Are there going to be too many problems with using the 305 from the 'bird to where I should wait for another, or will I run into the same with this one.
I'm pretty sure I can handle the task, but I need to know the specifics... Anyone out there that could help with the knowledge part?

The Firebird 305 will be the same as the Camaro 305.
Depending on the form of induction (TBI, TPI, carb), there might be some intake ducting problems, but nothing that can't be solved with a $10 junkyard replacement piece.
If you have specific questions during your motor swap, I'd recommend taking a trip over to the "Motor Swap" board. Neat how that works out, eh?
