In-line fuel pump

Has anyone put an in-line fuel pump on in place of the in-tank? Did you leave the factory pump in? Any help would be great.

several people have the walboro, or however it's spelled) pumps and report good results. i've run mechanical pumps with carbs and left the intank pump in. you have to watch the pump you buy is made to put out enough preasure for tpi.

The pump is from Accel. It's high pressure for TPI. I was just wondering if it was cool to leave the original pump in the tank. If I disconnect the wires to the stock pump it will still let the fuel flow through right.
