vacume advasnte ?
vacume advasnte ?
hey guys i have no computer in my car so everything was converted to vacume advasnted i guess u can call it. im not sure if thats whats its called but i was wounderin how i adjust the timing with the vacume advasnted distributor. i thought i saw awhile ago on horsepower t.v. i think it was that they stuck like an allenkey into the little vacume thingy attached to the distributor and then put the little hose back on. and im not sure if thats how u can adjust the timing or what but do u guys know. becuz i think maybe my car could be a few degrees off and thats why its running a little weird, as ive posted before.
also if someof u guys that have read my other post, i did change oils from a regualer blend to syentetic (spellin on that). also i used 5w30 oil and not 10w30 could that also relate to some of my problems?

I don't think that using 5w30 would hurt the performance. Actually, I think it is the recommended weight. Hard to say what your problem is from what you posted.
What do you mean by running a little weird?
And yes, you do set the timing with the vacuum tube plugged. Personally I would use a vacuum plug, but whatever works right?

its just runnin alittle ruff and i wanna smooth it out a bit. so like can i pull off the vacume tube and adjust it with an allen key or is there a spacific tool i need? and after i do adjust it all i do is put the tube back on. what will taking the tube off while the car is running do? since i have to adjust it while the car is running.
