fuel pump test?

Not sure if this is true, but can you check a electric fuel pump on a TPI engine from the ECM connector? Been having starting and running problems lately and just changed the spark control modual and now just as hard to start and runs worse. anyone ever use/have a ignition spark tester and where can i get one?

i ithnk what you need to do is check fuel preasure at the schrader valve on the fuel rail. even if the fuel pump has power or runs doesn't mean it's building or holding preasure

Orod,

A pressure test is a good idea. If you want to test the pump electrically, you can test it from teh 'G' terminal on the ALDL, but that relies on the pump relay for continutity. It's best to test it at the pump relay socket, so you have a direct circuit to the pump.
