Fuel pressure - is this normal

At idle in park my car reads 43 psi.
In drive and stopped the pressure drops to 39.
At cruise the pressure hangs at 39 but sometimes hits 40.
At roughly 1/2 throttle to WOT the pressure increases to 43.

Is it normal to get only a 4 psi difference in pressure?

I have the L98 auto

what kind of gauge are you running. mine reads 43 at idle and goes to 49 at WOT. thats with an AFPR though. mechanical gauges give the best reading with fuel pressure.

Fuel pressure should vary directly with manifold vacuum. You should get max pressure at 0 vacuum (WOT, or with vac line disconnected at regulator), lowest pressure during idle/light cruise/decel. If thats not what you are seeing, something is wrong with your regulator or the vacuum line is connected to the wrong source

I'm running the electrical nordskog gauge.
stock regulator
vacuum hose at regulator connected to the plenum

It sounds like everything is working fine. I'm just questioning why my range from idle to WOT is only 4 psi. Could there be a problem I'm not seeing?
