Remove Air condition
Remove Air condition
Hi all,
I have a Trans Am -89 where my air condition is no longer giving me cool air. I'm thinking of removing the whole equipment. The reason for this is as I see it:
1. Give me some extra horse powers, no need to run the AC-aggregate.
2. Strip of some weight from the front of the car.
What do you think? How many horse powers will this give? How much weight will be stripped off totally? Are there any side effects by doing this (will the computer go crazy, will the second fan never go on)? How difficult is this operation?
Thank,
Mikael

Next to no hp gain, it only uses a few to run it anyway.
Don't ditch it, it is a valuable item when resale time comes.
