? on 85 TA
Hey guys,
I just bought an 85 TA for $350. She runs great. But I need a bit of body work. It's going to be used as a racecar.
I have a ?. It has 350 V-8 in it. From what I read so far, GM never made a 350 for 85. Could this be? The guy swears that the engine has never been replaced.
And if it is, is this L98?
I mean, I'm glad it is a 350, but now I'm curious.

Get a casting # off the block. Those don't lie, but used cars sellers do. I'd bet money it's a 305 just like all the others. GM did not build any 85 F cars with 350s. So if it's never been swapped, it's a 305.
