Car hesitates real bad at 1600rpm, video of Fuel PSI inside!
To make a long story short, this is a 88 GTA 350 TPI, the car is mostly a show car, cruise car, and occasional trips to the strip. Well, the car sat for about a month or a little more, when I went to get the car out and take it for a spin, it hesitates and jerks real bad only at low RPMs around 1500-2000rpm. At idle it smooth, no problems, at above 2000rpm it is fine. But when you go to take off it will jerk several times until it reaches above 2000rpm, to the point that it jerks so hard it will chirp the tire 2-3 times. At first I thought, bad gas, well I ran it to empty, filled it half way up, ran fine the rest of the way home. Car sat for another couple of weeks, went to get it out to take it to SLP Day, same exact problem. Drove it all the way from Cincinnati, to Columbus and would still only hesitate at or around 1500-2000rpm, so needless to say I had to keep up in the 80mph range so it wouldn't do it. I am at a complete loss. I just got done changing the cap and rotor because it had a corroded terminal on it, changed the oil, put newer gas in it, have some fuel injector cleaner that I am going to try. Also checked the fuel pressure gauge and it is bouncing all over the place, it never did this before, or at least not this bad. I have an AFPR on the car as well. I am going to post a video of the fuel pressure gauge. So what do you guys think.
Well, I can't get the video on here, but anyway, the fuel psi when the car is revved up drops to about 10-15psi, doesn't hold a constant pressure. The needle bounces around quiet a bit.
