How to get a Bird on a ramp... ?

Ok. So I've got two ramps and two jack-stands. The ramps I use for my friends' trucks and some cars, and the stands for the Bird. But the stands aren't high enough for a tranny swap. So, I need to use the ramps, but the Bird isn't high enough for the ramps... I'd tear the air dam off...

So... How do you get a Bird on ramps? I've heard of 2x4's, but I'm not quite sure how it's done, and I don't wanna screw up and damage my baby...

Help, please?

Yep, 2x4s work. Just place them in front of the ramps, with a little on them. Then drive up, as the tires will get on the boards and should clear for the ramps.

I always jack the front up and slide the ramps under the wheels.

Put cut 2x4s into short 6" pieces. I have about 10 of them in the garage. They are about the most usefull things ever. Just pop one on the jack to make it higher, as well as under wheels, and stands. You can even put them under the axel, or A-arms when a tire is off in case the car decides to go down. Or behind wheels.
