ok for the last week i have had a rattle/knock between 2-4000 rpms in lower gears and at about 6000 rpms in highter gears.It did it in neutral till the car warmed then it would ony rattle in drive.The valve breathers also started smoking.Then i parked the car for a day started it up and everything was fine........any ideas?????

How is the compression pressure or cylinder leakage percentage? Smoke from the breathers is usually NOT a good thing.
