Bad O2 sensor??

I have a auto light reader, and from time to time when I keep the pedal at a con pressure the meter stops reading, and then the car throws a code. The knock sensor code. And then some of the time the code flags and then the sensor starts acting up. The sensor is about 3 months old. It is a Bosch. Could it be just that bosch can't make an O2 sensor to save there life?? Or is there something else that can be causing this? It really started happening when I installed my headders. Mods are in my sig.

I did a search, found something that came a little close, but it was talking about a close loop. The sensor will do this when hot or cold. makes no difference. It is an auto meeter gauge, sorry. Any info will help.
