stroker 502?

Would it be possible to stroke a 502 using the same idea as a 383- use the internals of a 540 in a 502. Just wondering cuz im puttin a 502 in my 91 with a LS1 6-speed.
I doubt it, since i havent ever heard of it being done.

Depends on what block it is. You may be able to stroke it. Find a gm engine catalogue and look it up, they normally show maximum stroke of the engines they sell.

Good lord! Will a 502 work in our cars? What about body flex? Are you re-enforcing the body for this?

A buddy of mine has a couple of 502's in his boat. He was saying his mechanic was going to stroked them.
Don't know the details, but I think he said it would be a 570.

Some of these pro-stock racers are getting big blocks all the way out to 632 cubes. No .
