Power steering problems

I was driving down the street today and my steering went out, it comes on and off now. The fluid is full. It never did it until today, and it is raining could that have anything to do with it. If not does that mean my pump is bad or is it something else. Thanks for any help.

Have you tried bleeding the steering system?

If that's not it it's probably time for a new pump.

pump

Does the pump do some weird noise? Check the belt & pully on the pump if it look dry & has cracks in it change it. maybe it has strecht too.

Sounds like water on the belt maybe?

Try tightening it, see if it does it when it's not raining anymore. Make sure your inner fender wells and such are in place properly so that water doesn't get thrown up there by the wheels.
