... oh mallory strikes again.

Two comp 9000s i have seen had advance weights that hang right at a point on the inside radius of the distributor shaft lobe.. (it matches up right to the arc on the outside of the weight)

That might impact performance a bit...

Is this part of the post mortem from your dyno run?

Let us know what its next pull is, after you get all that stuff sorted out, I'm hoping to see some 400-425 RWHP numbers.

yeah..just getting enough time to check over everything now.

I figure i will go over everything again and make sure there is not anything obvious. If I still cant find the hidden hp.. I am going to pull it out and put it on a engine dyno. I have a spare carb, intake and cam to troubleshoot with on a dyno.

amazing what a little timing will do..

I think the dork that worked on the distributor last (me), set the limit wrong. Now it pins you back in the seat good. Second gear just starts the tires frying.

Probably picked up 15percent more hp at the tires easy.. time for more tuning.

we have found the enemy and they are us.!!!

I should get a big anvil and put it on the hood so I will have to find someone to help me lift it off b4 i go working on it again. Nows about the time I probably start breaking drivetrain parts.

So many of us have a similar dork working on our cars...
