Comp wires coming off of a vaccum dist?

I just picked up an old vacum advance distributor off of an 83 Chev pickup, and it has the three wires coming off of the back that hook up to the computer wires. Just wondering if this is normal and exactly what it is that these wires are controlling? BTW, it definitely has a vacum can, I'm not that stupid!

It's either vacuum advance, or it's computer-controlled. Not both.

If they're a black, brown & pink wire, they go to the cap.

I'm telling you what I see...

There's a four prom wire coming off of the module that seems as though it could connect with the comp, however, it has the vaccum advance weights and can attached... Could it be a converted computer model...?

Yup, sounds like you got a mutt with p****r tracks pre-installed...

If it's in a non-CC car, get the right module. If it's going in a CC car, get another dist.
