ok guys, i just learned that my friend was pumping up the pressure with is 340 duster hes pushing a little over 410 flywheel hp. Now i know i have no chance with my 305, but ive been planning to build a 406. Now the only problem is that i dont have a lot of money BUT and a big but, i want to keep if EFI. I was thinking off building a 350, but whats the fun in that, so heres my questions.

1) will 24 lb/hr injectors be enough for the 406? ( a guy with a 96 lt1 has some he doesnt need and is going to let me have them all for 25 bucks)

2) im thinking of porting a set of stock heads , if not, go with some vortecs. Sound good. the lt4 hot cam, and some 1.6 ratio rockers. 2.02/1.60 valves.

3) what kinda induction. I would like to keep the stock tpi look if possible. So heres what i want. Ported hi-flo base, simaised runners(already have) PORTED plenum, and a 52mm TB

4) will my Edelbrock TES headers be enough to sufice this engine?

ok before i get any flames about how the stock tpi is not going to be an Excellent choice let me say that in the future im going to step up to some SLP headers, AFR aluminum heads and HSR induction. But for right now this is all i will be able to afford. but main goal is 12's. is this attainable? Please give me any good advice, and/or experineces. Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't use those TES with that combo.

Get some LTs or 1 3/4 shorties.
