Rotten Fuel Pump

So my fuel pump is about 8lbs off, and I'm having a new one put in - would a rotten fuel pump hurt quartermile times? Or would it just suck for gas mileage?

well I guess it depends on how bad the pump is. I know that when my GF's fuel pump went bad it made her RS even more gutless then it already was so I am sure it would have some sort of an effect on your 1/4 mile.
