I realize this is cooling system or emisions related, but does anyone know what this is. It is broken now and bypassed. Any name part number? Also on cooling system board. Thanks.

It is the (in)famous...

...Heater Diverter Valve. About $25 at Napa Auto.

A short while back I saw a post where several had the same failure you experienced. Now I have one in the car with a couple of tools in case my laziness causes me to wait for out-and-out failure of mine

HTH, peace

Thank you. What the hell does the heater diverter valve do? Mine has the nipple for the heater hose broke off. I guess I will just replace it.

If I recall correctly...

...it reroutes coolant around the heater core when the A/C is on (hence the vacuum connexn on the top of the item).

Peace,

No problem.

Nice car btw. If I ever buy another 3G I will build a clone of the B4C rides. Ever since I saw a Cali HP B4C rip by years ago, I was hooked. heh

Peace,

K
