Has anyone done intake upgrades on a TPI 305??
I'm just wondering if anyone has put any hi-flow TPI parts on a 305? I was thinking of SLP runners, porting the plenum, and if it's worth it looking for a high flow manifold. I want to know if any of you have done this and what kind of results you found? Thanks.

Yes, throw a LT1 intake on there and be done with it.
I've got some that came from the 4.3L V-8 in Roadmasters, Carpices and the like. If a little 4.3 V-8 can be run by a LT1 intake then your 305 will love it.
You will not run out of intake anytime soon either, there have been stock LT1 intakes run 10's in the 1/4 mile.
lastly, it's about the same price as a good set of aftermarket runners or base TPI intake.

In that case, save your money than for some major upgrades. Not being a dick, but letting you know there is not that much improvement over stock with those parts on a 305. And they are all expensive! Once you mess with more air flow, you should mess with the fuel and igniton too!

I appreciated the idea but that's a little more custom work then I'm ready to take on or worry about right now. I will keep the idea in mind for later on down the road though.
