I'd soak them in some tranny fluid overnite.

Soak them in Oil and get it all set up set the valves......then once the motor has got good and warm....go back and set them again. I used new roller and knew I had them set correctly but after I ran it about 20 min. I needed to reset them. 2 turned up too tight.

i wouldnt put a cheap set of lifters in nehow.... if you cant trust em ...... dont do it...... u could break a lot of things like that...... just be careful what u use in your engine/investment, and yea i would soak em ..... A LOT. in oil or cam lube overnight.

For my new motor, I didn't soak my lifters. Instead, I just primed the heck out of the oil pump right before adjusting the rockers. Primed it until I had oil coming out of the rockers. It must have worked, cuz the rockers are adjusted perfect, never had to readjust after getting the car running.

i usually put them in a can of oil and push the plunger down with a push rod. i doubt if you'd hurt anything if you didn't soak them or preoil them
