I realize these are 1967 and older crankshafts, because they seem to have the small journal. Does some one have a chev book that can identify 2 old crankshafts? first crank # is 3815822 and the 2nd is 4577 all that I can read. I do not know how to measure throw, but I assume these are 265, 283 or 327. I realize this may not be the appropiate board, but I know some one has books on this info. Thanks if you respond.

 

measure from the CL of the main to the CL of the pin and that should give you the stroke.
283=3"
327=3.25
no idea what a 265 stroke is

 

Here's the 1st one :

3815822 - 265 / 283 / 302 - forged small journal 3" stroke

The only hit I had on 4577 was :

3884577 - 327 - forged small journal, 3.25" stroke.
