i just figured i'd tell everyone about it.....

it's a afr headed 383 with comp 282hr cam..... i ran into probs with cam/rod clearence but have got that solved.......

the rods are scat 2-icr5700p speedpro lightweight flattops l2491f-30 and scat 9000 series crank for 5.7 rods for 87up 350 blocks....
i just wanted to thank a few people that ried to give me heads up and help when i needed it.......

badgta; What were your cam/rod problems? Were they normal for a 383?

 

when i ordered them i thought damn!!! scat 4340 forged rods for 219!! woohooo, but man was that a mistake......

don't get me wrong, theyr'e damn good rods, but just not a stoker rod......

i still had to grind them a little even with a small base circle cam..... and thats not saying much on scats part....... oh well, it's done now, as long as the clearances hold their place she should live for at least 100,000...... hopefully......
