If you had say "a" t350, that would have been diffferent.
sorry for bothering you.
Also, it would help to konw the specs on that 350.. also is the motor stock? I know LS1s aren't 350s, what about LT1s?

Who knows...
If it's really a carbed 350 and it's really in a 96 Camaro, then the motor and the car have nothing to do with each other, and the fact that it's a 350 in a 96 Camaro is pure coincidence. The last carbed 350 in a Camaro was in 81.
This is about like asking "How much is a 350 out of a red car worth?"
What's it built out of? Block, heads, cam, lifters, rockers, carb, intake, etc.?

You say one thing and get mad when someone responds according to what you said but misunderstood what you meant.
BEAATCH!
I'd be suspicious big time. I mean it is kinda screwy that somebody has a carbed 350 in a 96. Verify everything that they claim with numbers!

Hmmm. I guess they do have intakes for Gen II small blocks but paying $314 for just a 4 barrel intake seems a bit high i would suggest checking the casting numbers at http://www.automotiverebuilder.com/ar/ar99928.htm and making dead sure its an lt1 engine or if he's spouting
If it is am lt1 block, I still don't know if you'd want it. It wouldn't be anything different for performance than any other 55-86 small block except for a few small details, and ultimately it wouldn't be worth it later when you try to upgrade it and the parts are all specialty or off the wall (ok, not really but compare roller cams prices to flat tappet cams). There's a ton of good websites around about doing lt1 swaps and you'd want to see what all is different. I'd reveiw all this information and after you've done your homework I woulndn't pay more than a regular running small block.

Sorry to hear about your trouble. I was just poking fun.
Hope everybody gets better soon. It's no fun being sick, especially this time of the year. How old is your daughter? I just talked with a friend of my wife's and she just lost her mother, and then her brother. Her mom was old, but her brother just got sick and died......
I mean it though, I am sorry to hear about your misfortune, things will look up though.

My daughter is 3. srry bout your friend. and thnks. anyoneelse have an opinion on the motor??? I did verify it is an lt1. thnks
Find out if its a carbed LT1 if so I wouldnt buy it...well for 800 yeah I probably would. GM now sells a intake for lt1 motors you can run a 4 barrel on. My question is if you carb a lt1 does it still use opti spark?? im not sure. anyways if its a legit 350 and it runs good id defiently give 800$ for it..200$ for the tranny to if its decent.
don't be so hard on mark...every once and awhile he has something helpful to say

Thanks it already has the carbed intake manifold on it. I have a edelbrock 750 to put on it. I have no idea. I know basic motors with carbs dont know a thing about computer controled stuff. and yes mark can be very helpfull I was having a bad day. I know Ive read somwhere about carbing lt1s but I dont know where. I figuered it wouldnt make a differece one way or the other but the 350 I just put in is clanking away. it was aused block that i redid all of the gaskets on and it looked fine but somthing wenton it. thats ok the guy screwed me so I kept his cherry picker. he guarenteed the motor and renegedon it. so screww him. thnks

um one last try. anyone? I would like to just put it in wiothout anywork done to it. I heard it run when it was in the monty its been sitting for about a year. anything special I should do? If I buy it? I would oil the piston rings and prime it but should I replace the gaskets while it is out or leave it alone thnks.
****,
If the engine DOESN'T have a customary distributor (sticking out the top of the intake at the rear) I would be VERY careful. If the engine is still using the OPtiSpark distributor, you will need the PCM for that engine to run it. With a "standard" type distributor, you would be able to run the engine without a PCM. If you have OptiSpark and no PCM, you're getting shafted again.
