If they're using a rod oven correctly, pressing the pins out and re-using them shouldn't be a major issue. If they're pressing them out without heating, the pins could be scuffed, but with proper heat there should be no galling, material pickup, or other damage to either the pins or rods.

What crank are you running in your stroker?

Since it's pretty hard to heat the rod without heating the pin after they're assembled, it's very difficult to get pins out of a set of rods without damaging at least one. And if you damage one, you might as well replace them all, since for the engine to be balanced, they all have to weigh the same.

Get a new set of lightweight pins to put them back together with.

A Thermos full of liquid nitrogen is cool to have (in more ways than one). It works great for bearing outer race removal - not in engines, of course.
