2 questions!! help quick!
My car is running like crap when cold, the idle is really bad. We have figured out it may not be getting enough air.
1. Could this possibly be the CCV?
2. Does any one have the intsructions for modifying the IAC to allow for more air. Im not sure exactly what it consists of.
Help is greatly appreciated.

Is it running really rich when cold? Have you checked the cts with a scan tool? How about the MAF? Is it throwing any codes?
The CCV, I don't see how. Have you cleaned and reset the IAC and TPS to stock specs? Is this a stock engine? I wouldn't go modifying parts unless you're absolutely sure you need to. And I've never heard of people modifying the IAC passage. It should flow plenty unless it's plugged up or not working.

Your problem almost certainly isn't "not enough air" when cold. It is nearly always "not enough fuel" that causes cold-running problems. If it's truly getting "not enough air", you'd be seeing black smoke out of the tailpipe; if this is not happening, then you don't have "not enough air".
More likely, your coolant temp sensor is telling the ECM that the engine is warmer than it really is, so the ECM doesn't know that it needs to deal with the cold condition. Try a new CTS, it's only like $10.
Don't go modifying anything until you find what's broken and fix it. Too many of these cars run just fine when it's cold for it to be something the car is fundamentally incapable of doing without modification.
