help me please!!

I was taking my roomate and his girlfriend to the airport yesterday morning. His girlfriend put her bag in my back hatch area. It was too big to fit underneath the hatch, so she decided to slam the hatch down. Well, now my motorized hatch doesn't work. I's stuck in the down position, and it won't come up. I turn the key, and nothing happens. I think it has no power. I figured this may be a common problem, so if anyone could give me help, that would be great. Thanks.

Have you checked your fuse for it, or checked to make sure that she didn't somehow knock a wire off somehow.

solution

in the hatch directly under your nose is the clip which grabs the metal bar which closes the trunk. right behind it(twards you) is a little v type space. if you stick your finger in there you will be able to push down a little button type thing and hold it and that will make the electronic motor go down the rest of the way and come back up! I swear this is the problem and this will fix it! if you cant find the switch let me know maybe someone can describe it better.

thanks for the help. I ended up taking the whole motor out because when I pushed the switch nothing happened(mygirlfriend broke it before and this did work, but not this time). One of the wires had pulled out from the motor, but I got cut it off, got a piece of the same gauge wire, and soldered it back on and put it back in. Motor works fine now, thank for the help. I'm not wuite sure how she managed to knock the wire out, but that was the problem.
