smog pump question

i have removed all the hoses and emision stuff but the smog pump is still hooked up to the sepentine belt and is still blowing air out of where the hoses used to be and i was wondering what would happen if i blocked off the hole where the air is blowing out until i got a new belt.

Just leave the hole there. It's not doing any harm, just blowing air out.

I put a small threaded fitting from an autometer gauge in mine and it sounded like a turbo. Got some great looks from the local honda civic yellow sticker fart muffler racing team.

Sounds like the backwards version of the old Wolf Whistle. I had a '64 LeMans with one, and had a lot of fun with it at times. I wonder if they're still available....
