Hoping up 305
I was thinking of doing some work on my 305 (92 Camaro). First I want to swap to carb, not sure what size yet. S/R Torquer 305 heads, Weind Stealth intake, Hedman longtube headers, and a complete bottom end rebuild. Now my question is Would it hurt to swap to a Mechanical cam and solid lifters? and is a cam with 278/288 duration .480/.500 gross lift To big?
Does anyone know what kind of power this will make?
Any thing else I need, let me know.
Thanks alot,
Steve

People seem to be having the most fun by using an LT1 cam (.45x lift) with a 305.
You will need 3.73 gear at least with that other cam, and a loose TC, too.
