so cold out!TB is getting coolant lines hooked back up

I think my TB wants the coolant lines hooked back up. Its been so cold here lately. I think I am gona hook them back up if I can find the old hoses cuz Im worried the blades are gonna ice up.

i have the TBI 305 and since my heater core is broke, my car overheated but because its been so cold lately i've been thinking about hooking the hoses back together just till winter is over of the temp gets up to 40's.. anyone think this is a bad idea?

mine isnt a mod unfortunately my heater core is simply broke and causeing my car to overheat

It probably doesn't do much if anything, but maybe the correct way to perform the mod would be to install a hot water valve, like the one used in later cars for heater core coolant flow control.
