effects of exhaut on performance
effects of exhaut on performance
My mechanic suggested that I cannot judge if my engine is running well if I do not have a full exhaust system. I am missing my muffler and tail pipes. I am trying to hunt down a code 33 problem, do you think I should replace the exhaust first. Backpressure may be an issue, but what about people who run cut-outs and straight pipes. Can I tune an engine without the cat-back? Any insight wold be apreciated.

isn't code 33 a MAF problem? I don't see how some of your missing exhaust system will effect the performance of the MAF. check all the relays and make sure that the MAF (or MAP depending on if you're SD or not) is working properly. I highly doubt that the exhaust would effect it at all.
