Ac went out help

Ok here is the problem my ac works but it seems to only blow trough the top vents the ones on the dash pad even if i switch it to blow through the lower vents. What controls the way the air flow and how can i fix that Thanks for any help

On the back of your climate controls, on the right side, there's a disc that went bad. It's like a gasket; when you move the vent **** left-to-right, it spins a disc; the disc directs vacuum between all the vents. You'll see a bunch of vacuum lines connected to the disk; you gotta pop the disc off (leave the vac lines attached) and the gasket's under there.

Don't know if GM sells one or not...? Do they? I should order a spare.

And I feel no sympathy for your air conditioning; it's 12 degrees fahrenheit out here in NJ. (sigh) I usually get heat when I'm pulling into my driveway.

lol.. i know, right? Its cold as nuts here. MAke sure you check that all the vacuum hoses are hooked up to the HVAC controlls as well. I had one of the crap nylon hoses break in the beater and the leuvers in the dash where stuck in place.
