The other day at school i was perplexed by a newer formula Trans Am. Im not up to date on my knowledge of those cars, so i thought i'd ask here. Was there an options package to get them with an LS1 engine in them? I was going to hop in a truck parked next to it, and i noticed the corvette emblem on the front quarter pannel. I stopped to read, and it said LS1 on it? gimmick or for real?

 

Emblem = gimmick

LS1 = real maybe (if it's 98 up)

 

I am not sure if there are LS1 formulas, but there are LT1 (93-97) Formulas. They are basically just a cheaper (yet faster) Trans Am. They look pretty much just like the V6 birds, except they say 'Formula' on the rocker panels, and 'Formula V8' on the rear bumper.

 

That description sounds right, i read it quick, and therefore prolly misread it. I did notice the formula badging on the sides, so thats probably what it was.
