Torque Specs

well hopefully alter this week sometime i will be going and getting my heads back from the maching shop, and throw them back on...

but i need to know what are the torque specs on the bolts on the heads, top row and bottom row in the valve cover valley, and down by the spark plugs, i know the intake is 20 ft-lbs but not the others, please help. thanks

I strongly suggest you go buy a Chilton's or something, there's lots of useful stuff in there like that. Such as the torque sequence (what order to tighten them in), yes it matters.

Torque should be 60-65 ft-lbs. on all of them, in 3 or 4 steps, measure only while the bolt is actually moving - NOT "Breakawy" torque to start it moving; and go over them all one last time after they reach 60. Don't over-tighten them, it will cause more problems than leaving them at the low side of the spec. Use non-hardening sealer on the bolt threads and under their heads, such a Loctite PST or Permatex 300; NOT silicone.
