Smog Components

I live in Alabama where we have no emmision requirements or checks. I want to get rid of all the smog crap, the pump, tubes, etc. Anyone done this? Where do I start and how much of PITA is this project?

I'd start by removing the smog pump and taking the AIR lines out of the exhuast manifolds. You just use a wrench to twist out the lines on the manifolds, then get some plugs and put them in.

If you remove the pump you'll need a different size belt. I use #968K6.

Excellent, thanks. I needed the belt size. No one around here knew what size it was. I think I'll start this project next weekend
