3/8" to 7/16" rocker arm enlargment
While looking underneath my valve covers, i noticed that one of my rocker arms had a section of it missing right where it meets with the pushrod. I've found the broken piece sitting on the head. The current rockers look like stamped steel. I don't want to take a chance of driving the car with a damaged rocker arm and need to get a new set asap. I measured my studs to be 3/8". I have no guideplates. I want to get a set of new heads (Pro Lightnings) in the near future which probably have 7/16" studs. If i buy a set of Comp's roller Pro Magnums right now which are for the 3/8" studs, will i be able to enlarge them safely for the larger studs later on when i get the new heads?

No. Doesn't work that way.
Best thing to do, if you know for certain you're going to replace the heads, would be to just buy one stock rocker and move on.

I replaced one of my SBC Crane Gold rockers that I broke years ago when the 383 blew up. It was replaced under warrenty. Look at the price of a set of rockers. Divide by 16 and that is going to be very close to the price of a single rocker.
You don't have to buy everything in sets. If you bend a pushrod, you can buy a single to replace it.
I don't think it's possible to increase a 3/8" stud rocker to 7/16". The 7/16" rockers have more metal in them to compensate for the larger hole. My stroker had 7/16" studs and rockers. You go to the larger stud when you have high spring pressures. It also reduces rocker stud deflection.
