Changing belts Help!
Changing belts Help!
I've got an 86 TA with and LG4 4BBL engine. I decided to change all my belts today. I pulled three of the four off but the fourth belt goes around the power steering pump and I can't see how to loosen it. I decided to leave it on and replace the other three. The first belt I took off was a small v belt that goes to the water pump. The second was the sepentine type belt that runs the alternator, and the last one I took off goes around four pulleys including the two large center pulleys, the power steering pulley and the a/c compressor. Working backwards I am trying to put the long belt back on around the four pulley's. I cannot get the belt to fit onto the a/c pulley. I have taken out all but on bolt from it and it is bottomed out in the slot but I still can't get the new belt over it. I don't know a whole lot about engines but I love to work and learn on my TA. My question finally, is there some trick to getting the new belt on or a special tool? The belt seems to be the same length as the old one belt maybe the old one was stretched more. Can someone give me some advice?
If this is a repeat, I'm sorry. I didn't find it in a search.

The power steering pump on my 86 Iroc has two bolts in slots. I had to crawl under the car to get the second one on the back side of the pump.
