Got intake manifold off....some questions.

I also have it to BTDC. I checked the pushrods and some rotate, and some don't. I didn't take exact notice to which ones did and which ones didn't, but is that normal?

Also another question, what does the temperature of the thermostat affect? I know what the temperature means, but is there any benefits/downfalls to using a cooler thermostat? Thanks.

Some of the pushrods won't turn because, they are being raised by the cam lobes. So you can't turn them with your fingers, but that is normal.

Ok, that's what I figured but I just wanted to be sure. I know some people said to check for pushrod play or bends.
