How can I run EGR and use Vortec heads?

Heres the dilemma. I was just given 3 complete 350's for free from a friend of mine. The one Im gonna build is out of an 89 pickup. Im going to put it in my 84 15th Anniversary TA. I want to get a set of Vortec heads for it just because of the fact that they are brand new and have good power gains from simply bolting them on. I work at Chevy so I can get a set for about $300 for the pair, complete. Ive heard you have to run a tube from the exhaust to the intake manifold for the EGR to function. Where do you run it to on the intake manifold? Does anyone have any pics of how to do this? Im ready to buy the heads, but will do so only if I can get them to work. I have to retain all my computer and smog equipment. Can someone help me out with some pics or something? Thanks all.

There is no carbed intake with EGR for Vortec heads that I know of. You could use a Ford 4bbl EGR carb plate and valve.
Older 80's 5L Mustangs with carbs. Looks like a 4bbl adapter plate with a EGR valve attached.
You'd have to plumb it and work out the details but it is a possibility.

GMPP makes a spreadbore intake with EGR mounting. Im only wondering where to plumb the pipe to the intake from the exhaust.

You're right GM #12496820 Has egr.

I would weld a pipe onto one of the exhuast header
primary pipes on the passenger side to pick up exhaust gas.

I know about tapping into the exhaust with a pipe, but where do you run it to on the intake maniold. Does anyone have any pics?
