fan help asap

ok, everytime i hook up my fans, my altenator puts out like 8 volts, well i got my battery and altenator check out and they are both working properly, what could be causing that??? and also, my batter leaks charge it seems like, so its losin it somewhere, what could this be?

A bad rectifier can do that. If one of the diodes inside has opened, the alt will put out the correct voltage but, will lack current output. If a large load is applied, the voltage will drop.

When the alt was tested, was it load tested??

im not sure if it was load tested, i told autozone what they were doing, so im imagine that they load tested it? maybe?
