Just finished pulling my cam out and as i suspected the 9th love back is almost completely round and the lifter is about 1/8" shorter than the rest. The rest of the lobes look great. ill be ordering a new cam in the morning but i dont want the same thing to possibly happen the the new cam. What could of have caused this after only 250 miles. See sig for motor specs. The cam was a small base cam because the cam i tried to install before it hit my rods. I installed new springs and lifters with it too.

* Advertised duration: 268 intake/280 exhaust
* Duration at .050 in. cam lift: 224 intake/230 exhaust
* Gross valve lift: .479 in. intake/.480 in. exhaust
* Lobe separation: 112 degrees

 

inpropper break in, lack of lube, to stiff valve springs, rocker adjusted to tight, push rod length might of been a factor
