Ok Ladies and Gents...

I was wondering if anyone has a mechanics time sheet (how long a job should take). I took my Bird to the dealer and I dont think that a brake job with about 200 dollars worth of parts should end up costing me 540 dollars total. I mean it only takes me around an hour to tear the thing down without the right F***** tools. I did tell them to just intstall NEW parts, so that would take down some of the time, Shouldn't it? I didnt want them to rebuild anything just put a new part in its place. So now all this is adding up. So far the total seems to be about 540. When only yesterday i got quoted 320. The only reason I didnt do it myself is because I am currently ill. Just wanted to check with you guys to see if this is right or if I am just getting tight with my money. But I would still like to see an estimated time sheet for most mechanical jobs.

All they are replacing is the calipers and a brake job on the front... Any info would help me a bunch.....

 

$540's about average for an all-out 4 corner brake job. For just the fronts.... seems a little steep to me, too.
