Part number for Vette Alum. heads

What is the part number for Corvette Aluminum L98 heads. What year did they differ from in 85-91, and are they old style intake or new style intake setup. Im looking to purchase and don't want to get fooled. My searches on the board were nothing but a waste this is the most direct way.

Beefy89:- Is that the GM part number or for another supplier?

Is it best to get aluminium 'Vette heads or to save some more for ported AFR's?

That would be the GM part number. There are no other suppliers.

WinnipegGTA,

What kind of motor are you building? I have these heads on my 305 as I'm limited to choice with the smaller bores. Lingenfelter says these heads are good for 450 n/a hp when ported and have an excellent i/e ratio - the reason I chose them as I'm getting blown sometime soon.

Also, that is the casting number that you want.

Just bringing the motor up to Corvette specs. Along with a fresh rebuild. Its a L98, in my '91 GTA. Just looking for a little bit more power without going over my budget.

There is little benefit from aluminum L98 castings over iron. Just port and polish your current L98 heads.
