a guy i work with offered to sell me a gta/trans am body he has, it resembles an 88 or 89 or so transam or gta, it has a full tube frame, aluminum floor pans and the entire body is made of fiberglass, apparently he bought it about 10 years ago and was going to build it to be a drag car but lost intrest, supposedly it was registered as a street car at one time and has a vin, the gear glass and windshield are plastic and it currently has no door glass, the body is in good shape, needs a little sanding and some paint... no engine, trans, rear, interior, etc... has anybody ever seen one of these before? if so what info do you have on em? who was it made by or is it some sort of custom? how much do you think its worth?

 

It won't be street-legal with a plastic windshield. Tubular chassis are usually custom made. There are lots of places that do it (two around here). It would make a good drag car, as long as you have a trailer. I have no idea of its value.
