Hi Guys,
I'll try and get a pic later on but I noticed a flat black wire beside the fuse block was ready to snap - and as soon as I grabbed it, it did. The connector is a 4 wire connector which goes up near the fusebox where it connects. The other end leads up the steering column or somewhere up there.
The connector is pretty different in that it has four small wires in a flat black wire. The connector looks like a square with each connection being made at the four corners.
Does anyone know off-hand what this connector is for?

I'm no too sure, but it may be for some of your your steering column controls. Turn signal, cruise, ignition switch, wipers. I know that there is flatwire running up the column to power/run these accesories.
With the key on I can operate the wipers, turn signals, emergency 4-ways. I haven't tried driving as I need to finish the alarm install first. I'm thinking it may in fact be the cruise control but time will tell. Either that or maybe the guages. I also had steering controls on the car (stock ones) but I've since removed that wheel. With any luck, it may be the steering wheel controls which I don't even use anymore.
