AC delete

I want to get rid of my A/C compressor since the system is completely drained of coolant and useless as it stands. Also want to free up more room. My question is, can I get rid of a/c and still keep my original heater box? I just wanna disconnect the lines and the compressor itself. can this be done with the heater still functioning normally?

yes, you will be fine. Do you have one or two fans? If you have to, you will have to wire up your auxilary fan to come on. the primary fan will still kick on as usual.

I have dual fans wired up to a painless relay independent of the computer. it comes on even with a/c off, so I guess that won't be necessary unless there are power wires connected through it
btw nice Z, saw it,

Thanks. Im working on changing to carb right now. Hope to have it running sometime next week.

You should be just fine removing just the lines and compressor. Might want to remove the evaporator and condensor also. When you remove the condensor from infront of the radiator, it lets alot more air to travel through and helps in cooling.
