Firebird Service Manual

Wasn't sure where to post this, but...Can I use a later year service manual (say 91 or 92) to get the crux of the repair tips for my 88? I've been searching ebay but there are few 88s and I'm not paying $95 to get one from Helms. Would I be OK with a later year manual?

I have Chilton and Haynes, but I want a shop manual to add to my collection. Knowlege is power and you can never have too much reading material for when you're on the hopper. There are unique little tidbits in each one and I wanted to have the full set. So, again, are the later year service manuals interchangeable with an 88? The cars were basically the same (mechanically) with different ground effects, no?

The biggest difference will be engine management: MAF vs. MAP. Second biggest will be wiring. After that I believe most everything else is the same.
