removed my ac today.. question

i removed most of my ac today, all thats left is the box on the firewall.. how do i take it off and whats in back of it? can i just cut a piece of sheet metal to cover it or do i need to find the piece from a non ac car?

you can actually just leave it there. thats what i did. or you can find a non a/c heater box to replace it.

yeah i know i can just leave it there but im tryin to clean up the engine bay, make it look more basic and less cluttered

I took all mine off too. There are I think 3 screws that go through from the inside to the engine bay. After those, and the others on the engine bay side, pull it off. There will be the evaporator (I think thats what it is), and some other stuff you don't need. Take it all out. There will be 2 holes, a big round one, and a rectangular looking one. I have templates to make covers for those. Let me know if you would like one. Here is what mine looks like now.

I still have the holes from when I removed my box, what do your templates look like?

what do you have to remove on the inside to be able to get to the screws on the inside? and yes i would defently appreciate the templates! looks great! did you also remove your heater core and blower motor? i wanna keep my heater, just wanna get rid of all the ac crap

i removed the bottom piece that is held on by three small screws. you will see it when you get under there...

oh you just havta remove the under dash cover to get 2 em? thats easy enough i dont even have em ne more thanks!

if you wanna keep your heat, you gotta keep the heater core. Get a non A/C heater box. try ebay or ask around in here. or you can score one ina junkyard
