car acting weird during aceleration

when my cAR IS IN OD AND ACELERATING IT FELLS LIKE THE ENGINE IS MISFIRING AND HARD TIME GETTING UP IN THE RPMS. i can't tell if it is trans or just pulgs wires or feul injectors please help

What kind of engine, and under what conditions? Very low RPMs? A prolonged hesitation or just for a short time?
